Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to delivering transformative development across the county. Addressing mourners at Kathivo in Kitui West Sub-county during the burial of Joseph Ngundi Kimwemwe, the husband of a senior county official, Malombe highlighted notable achievements under his leadership and reassured residents of continued progress.
Governor Malombe underscored the strides his government has made in key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, and economic empowerment. He emphasized that his administration is working tirelessly to ensure that all sub-counties receive equitable development. “We are dedicated to implementing impactful projects that directly improve the lives of our people. From enhancing road networks to strengthening healthcare services, our focus remains on uplifting Kitui residents,” he stated.
Addressing political speculations, Malombe dismissed claims that former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu had stepped down in his favor during the 2022 gubernatorial elections. He clarified that Ngilu had, in fact, endorsed Hon. David Musila for the position.
“I want to put an end to these false narratives—Governor Ngilu never stepped down for me. She had her own preferred candidate, Hon. David Musila. Let’s focus on facts, not fiction,” Malombe asserted. The governor urged residents to rise above divisive political rhetoric and instead prioritize unity and progress.
As Kitui moves forward, Malombe called upon leaders and residents to work collaboratively in fostering sustainable development. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to fulfilling campaign promises and ensuring visible transformation in key sectors such as infrastructure, water access, healthcare, and economic empowerment. “Our goal is to build a prosperous Kitui for all. Let’s work together and remain focused on development that benefits every resident,” he concluded.
