Governor Wavinya Ndeti has intensified her hands-on leadership approach with a week of structured policy sensitization forums across Machakos County. Today’s session brought together several key departments :Finance, Economic Planning, Revenue Management and ICT, Public Communication, and Lands and Physical Planning as she continued her mission to build a results-driven, policy-savvy public service.

This week’s engagements began on Monday with staff from the Health Department. On Tuesday, Governor Wavinya met with the Devolution Department in the morning, before convening afternoon forums with officials from Trade, Industry, Tourism and Innovation, and Youth, Sports, and Social Welfare. Each meeting is designed to equip public servants with a clear understanding of the policies that shape their mandates.
In her address, the governor stressed the critical role of structure in governance. “Our systems must work in unity. We must deliver services that reflect the intent of the policies we create,” she said, adding that her administration is committed to nurturing a public workforce that delivers with purpose and merit.

Wavinya’s strategy is clear: empower staff with knowledge, streamline coordination, and anchor operations in policy. Through these forums, she is fostering a culture where public service is not only efficient but transformative putting the needs of Machakos residents at the center of government action.
