Kitui Speaker Kelvin Katisya and Machakos Speaker Anne Kiusya have come under heavy fire from residents of Ukambani after skipping a landmark event organized by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka in Tseikuru dubbed as “Tseikuru Declaration”. The absence of the two leaders from this historic gathering, widely regarded as a symbol of Ukambani unity and a strategic platform for Kalonzo’s 2027 presidential bid, has ignited fierce backlash. Residents and political observers alike are now labeling the duo as moles of the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA), accusing them of fraternizing with President William Ruto’s camp while sabotaging Wiper’s vision from within.

Speaker Anne Kiusya has become a lightning rod for controversy in Machakos, especially after she was found guilty by the Senate for unlawfully suspending the county assembly an act seen as a deliberate attempt to frustrate Governor Wavinya Ndeti. Her political maneuvers have failed to hold water as Wavinya, a staunch Wiper loyalist, forged ahead with delivering services to the people. The today boycott of the Tseikuru event by Kiusya has only fanned the flames of public anger, reigniting calls for her impeachment. Although the courts paused an earlier motion to oust her, the tide of public opinion is swiftly shifting, with residents urging MCAs to summon the courage to finish what was started.
In neighboring Kitui, Speaker Kelvin Katisya finds himself in equally hot water. For months, he has been accused of trying to derail Governor Julius Malombe’s administration through politically motivated obstructionism. But Malombe, fortified by grassroots support, has thwarted every attempt at sabotage, leaving Katisya politically exposed. Residents are now demanding immediate action, urging Wiper MCAs to initiate his impeachment and remove what they see as a barrier to progress and regional cohesion. The people of Kitui are no longer mincing their words—they want accountability, loyalty, and action.

This rising wave of discontent across Ukambani marks a crucial moment for the region’s political future. As Kalonzo Musyoka builds momentum for national leadership, the unity of the Wiper bloc must remain intact. Traitors within must be dealt with decisively. The Makueni Speaker has been hailed as a beacon of unwavering loyalty, standing in stark contrast to his counterparts in Kitui and Machakos. The message from the people is resounding and urgent: betrayal will no longer be tolerated. The time to impeach Katisya and Kiusya is now, for the sake of Ukambani’s political integrity and its place on the national stage.
