Through a thunderous political strike that shook the heart of Machakos politics, Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has openly declared war on embattled Machakos Speaker Anne Kiusya. Speaking at a charged rally at Mulu Mutisya Gardens in Machakos Town today, Kalonzo accused Kiusya of betraying Wiper’s ideals and operating as a covert agent of the rival United Democratic Alliance (UDA). The seasoned political heavyweight did not mince words, stating unequivocally that Speaker Kiusya must be impeached and shown the door, describing her leadership as “incompetent and intolerable.”

Kalonzo’s fierce denunciation came on the heels of mounting discontent over Kiusya’s controversial decision to shut down the Machakos County Assembly for 60 days—a move he derided as a gross abuse of office and a show of sheer ineptitude. “She has effectively held Machakos hostage,” he thundered to a roaring crowd. With the rhetorical flair of a veteran statesman, Kalonzo gave Kiusya his symbolic blessing to exit Wiper and join UDA if that’s where her allegiance truly lies, signaling a complete political divorce.
The dramatic pronouncement is expected to re-energize efforts to remove Kiusya from her powerful post. Though she recently secured a temporary court injunction to halt her impeachment, Kalonzo’s declaration now emboldens Wiper MCAs, who have been handed what amounts to a political directive: execute the will of the party and end what Kalonzo views as a reign of sabotage. The battle lines have been drawn, and the Speaker’s seat has now become the ground zero of an all-out political purge.

All eyes are now fixed on the Machakos MCAs, who carry the weighty responsibility of acting on Kalonzo’s rallying cry. The coming days promise a fierce political showdown as Wiper seeks to reclaim control and rid itself of perceived infiltration. For Speaker Anne Kiusya, the tide appears to be turning fast, and unless she can summon an unlikely miracle, her days at the helm of the Machakos Assembly may soon be reduced to a political epitaph.
