It was nothing short of a spectacle on the serene slopes of Mua Hills as the homestead of celebrated media personality and Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s trusted media advisor, Nicko Nyamai, transformed into a carnival of joy and festivity.

A sea of guests friends, neighbors, and county dignitaries stormed the residence in massive numbers, drawn by affection, admiration, and the magnetic persona of Nyamai, affectionately referred to by locals as “the people’s man.” The occasion? A double birthday bash for his radiant daughter Alicia and charming son Adrian — a children’s party that quickly evolved into a community jubilee.
The air reverberated with ululations, drumbeats, and joyous dance as the people of Mua turned up not just for the kids but to show love to one of their own. It was a moment of unity, pride, and overwhelming appreciation, as residents acknowledged Nicko’s unwavering service and his new role in Governor Wavinya’s inner circle.

And Nicko did not disappoint. As if anticipating the tidal wave of love, he assembled a high-end catering squad that rolled out a royal feast: tender goat and beef cuts, sizzling chicken, creamy mukimo, spicy kachumbari, rich green salads, and a selection of cool, refreshing drinks that left no guest unquenched. The birthday table glittered with flashy gifts and generous cash tokens, echoing the community’s immense affection.
“This is more than a birthday,” whispered an elder guest. “This is a thanksgiving for one of our finest sons.”

The event drew top brass from Machakos County’s administration. Leading the pack was CECM for Water Rita Ndunge, Governance Advisor Meshack Musyoki, Chief Officers Francis Musembi Munyambu and Moses Wambua, a host of directors including Judah Mumo and Joel Muthama(GDU), Kelvin Mutwiwa (Public Communications), and Kamani of Protocol.

The media world also showed up in full force. Mwela of Mbaitu FM ,Francis Kioko, Chief Editor of Kambaland Times, and a league of renowned media practitioners added flair and journalistic sparkle to the event.
In a moment of spontaneous political expression, Mua residents publicly vowed to support Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s 2027 re-election, citing her people-centered leadership and empowerment efforts, such as tapping local talent like Nicko for advisory roles.
