The swift payment of cleaning staff at Machakos Level 5 Hospital marks another strong demonstration of Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s administration’s commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of all Machakos residents. Following a directive from the Senate Health Committee, the outsourced cleaning contractor has now settled all pending dues, reaffirming that under Wavinya’s leadership, accountability and worker dignity remain non-negotiable.

County Executive Committee Member for Health, Mr. Justus Kasivu, confirmed that the County Government has already commenced investigations to uncover the reasons behind the contractor’s delayed salary payments. He further emphasized that any breach of contractual obligations will attract firm action, underscoring the government’s zero-tolerance stance on negligence and exploitation. Mr. Kasivu also reassured the public that all County-employed health workers continue to receive their salaries on time and without fail.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s administration continues to champion integrity, fairness, and quality service delivery across Machakos County. By standing up for workers’ rights, modernizing health facilities, and strengthening oversight mechanisms, her government remains unwavering in its mission to deliver efficient healthcare and safeguard the wellbeing of every resident.
