\u201cI welcome the roadmap put forward by President Joe Biden to bring an end to the escalating and widening conflict between Israel and Palestine,\u201d President Ruto said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The comprehensive plan, initiated jointly by Qatar and Egypt, outlines measures to address the situation and promote unity between the two warring sides. The first phase includes a six-week ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from populated areas of Gaza, and the release of hostages and remains. It also facilitates the return of Palestinians to North Gaza and ensures access to humanitarian assistance for those affected by the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Ruto highlighted the significance of the proposed plan in paving the way for a reconstruction program in Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGiven the astronomical human suffering that this conflict has inflicted, I implore Israeli and Palestinian leadership, and all parties of goodwill, to support this plan,\u201d Ruto stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized that a strong endorsement of the plan would lead to coexistence between Israel and Palestine, contributing to a more just and peaceful region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
