stated the NPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The police headquarters emphasized that they do not target journalists, calling the incident &#8220;highly regrettable.&#8221; Questions arose about why Gaitho was picked up at a police station where he had driven, leading to swift clarification from the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reports of Gaitho&#8217;s arrest spread rapidly after a video clip showing him being bundled into a car at Karen Police Station was shared on social media, prompting the police to issue a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The National Police Service remains committed to working with the media while discharging our mandate of promoting accountability and transparency,&#8221;
