Their suspicious behavior raised doubts about their authenticity, prompting the officer to alert local authorities. Forced to break in, the officers discovered the five individuals were impostors, aiming to extort money from county officials. No such millions were found at the scene. Among them is the well-known Kamba Benga artist and leader of the Kalandini Boys Band, Kyalo Kasee. Two brothers from the Itoleka area in Kitui Central Constituency namely Kakai Kalusi (also known as Shamargat) and his brother Kasamba Kalusi, were also apprehended.
