In a spirited gathering at her home in Kawelu, Kitui South, former Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza hosted a vibrant luncheon, calling upon the Kamba community to abandon what she termed as “opposition slavery” and embrace a future aligned with President William Ruto’s administration. The event, which was a showcase of unity ,love and political resolve, brought together an array of political figures, including Machakos County Speaker Anne Kiusya, among other notable guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malonza expressed her gratitude to the attendees for their unwavering support. She vowed to continue her advocacy for the community, now unhindered by the demands of public office. With a renewed sense of purpose, she promised to personally engage with various government and private offices, seeking opportunities that would uplift her people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former CS lauded President Ruto’s efforts in restructuring the government to be more inclusive and urged the younger generation, especially the Gen-Zs, to exercise patience, noting that “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” She emphasized the importance of giving the government time to deliver on its promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a candid critique, Malonza urged the Kamba community to reevaluate their allegiance to opposition under Kalonzo Musyoka who has kept kamba community in opposition for long . She argued that under their leadership, the community has seen little benefit and suggested that aligning with President Ruto’s administration could open doors to greater opportunities. Malonza pledged to spearhead efforts to unite the Kamba people under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) banner, working tirelessly to ensure Ruto’s re-election in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Machakos County Speaker Anne Kiusya, who also addressed the gathering, urged the people of Kitui to rally behind Malonza as she re-enters the political arena. Kiusya highlighted that unity and love within the community are crucial for attaining greater political power and influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
