The Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee (IGRTC), led by Commissioner Linet Mavu, paid a courtesy visit to Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe earlier today at his office. The meeting was part of the IGRTC\u2019s ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration between the two levels of government\u2014national and devolved\u2014through effective intergovernmental relations.<\/p>\n

The primary focus of the visit was to discuss ways to strengthen the intergovernmental relations ecosystem, ensuring that both national and county governments can work together seamlessly. This involves joint implementation of projects and programs, as well as managing the shared responsibilities outlined in the Kenyan Constitution. The IGRTC plays a critical role in facilitating such relationships to promote the success of devolution and the performance of concurrent functions between different levels of government.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the team addressed several important issues, including the role of governors in fortifying intergovernmental cooperation.
