In a bold and transformative move for Kenya’s athletic future, the Uganda-based NGO Sports Advancement and Community Transformation (SACT) is partnering with the County Government of Kitui to establish a state-of-the-art, 14-acre sporting facility. With a visionary blueprint that includes a main pitch, a swimming pool, training grounds, multiple courts for basketball, volleyball, and lawn tennis, as well as a fully equipped indoor arena, this project signals a renaissance for sports infrastructure in the region. More than just bricks and turf, the facility is a promise to nurture raw talent, create employment, and restore hope among the county\u2019s vulnerable youth.<\/p>\n

Backed by a formidable two-year joint grant from the UK\u2019s Funding For Sports and GR. Consultancy, the initiative is buoyed by a financial commitment of \u00a36.2 million equivalent to just over 1 billion Kenyan shillings. The investment speaks volumes not only of the trust placed in Kitui\u2019s potential but also of the growing international interest in grassroots sports development across East Africa. With a holistic approach, the facility aims to be a cradle of excellence, equipping young people with the tools, spaces, and mentorship needed to rise above adversity and chase dreams long thought unattainable.<\/p>\n
