Univision Sacco is under fire after spending KSh 25 million on today\u2019s Special General Meeting at Ithookwe Primary\u2014an event marked by empty seats and zero accountability. A supplementary budget shows KSh 15M for members\u2019 allowances (many say they got nothing; others got KSh 1,100despite calculations showing it should have been KSh 2,500), KSh 5M for SGM expenses (empty tents and chairs), and KSh 5Mfor delegate elections. Members are now camped in the Sacco\u2019s WhatsApp group., demanding explanations, their unpaid lunch, and threatening to withdraw shares and join competitor Saccos.<\/p>\n

Amid low turnout\u2014blamed on weak communication\u2014management attempted to push punitive directives and by-law amendments \u201cthrough the dark door.\u201d Calls for transparency were batted away with \u201cthe law is clear.\u201d Members are demanding a full, public breakdown: attendance roll, allowance pay list, tender documents, and an independent auditor they walk.<\/p>\n
