The Machakos County Government has announced a major reorganization of its executive in a move aimed at enhancing service delivery and aligning the administration with desired public service outcomes. The changes, effected by Governor Wavinya Ndeti, affect both County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) and Chief Officers.<\/p>\n

In the new reshuffle, Onesmus Muia Kuyu has been moved from the Department of Finance, Economic Planning, Revenue Management and ICT to head the Department of Water, Irrigation, Sanitation, Environment, and Climate Change. Catherine Mutanu Raphael, who previously led the Agriculture, Food Security, Livestock and Cooperative Development docket, will now take over Finance, Economic Planning, Revenue Management, and ICT. Rita Ndunge Ndunda shifts from Water and Environment to Agriculture and Food Security.<\/p>\n

The changes also touched on the Chief Officers, with Benson Metho being reassigned from Environment and Natural Resources to Special Assignment, while Vincent Musili moves from Industry and Innovation to the Department of Energy and Rural Electrification.
