With confidence and deep emotion, she spoke about the struggles the people of Kitui South have faced for far too long \u2014 poverty, poor infrastructure, lack of clean water, and leaders who have forgotten their promises once elected.<\/p>\n
\u201cI cannot stand by and watch my people continue to suffer,\u201d Gladys said passionately, her voice firm and full of conviction. \u201cFor years, we have cried for better roads, schools, and health facilities. Our youth are jobless, our mothers walk long distances for water, and our farmers are struggling. Enough is enough \u2014 the time for true leadership has come!\u201d<\/p>\n
Her declaration was met with cheers and songs from residents who have long felt neglected. Many said Gladys Mami Kivoto represents a new generation of leaders \u2014 courageous, honest, and close to the people.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are tired of empty words,\u201d said one elder. \u201cIf Mami is ready to fight for us, we will stand with her.\u201d<\/p>\n
In her speech, she promised to focus on empowering women and youth, improving education, supporting farmers, and ensuring that basic needs like water and healthcare reach every household.<\/p>\n
Her message was clear \u2014 leadership should not be about self-gain or politics of pride, but about service and compassion.<\/p>\n
As the sun set over Kanziku, chants of \u201cMami for 2027!\u201d filled the air \u2014 a sign that a new political wave might just be beginning in Kitui South.<\/p>\n
