This move now leaves thousands of youth and women in limbo, as Kiusya seems undeterred in fighting development in Machakos County.

Machakos Assembly Speaker Anne Kiusya is described as the enemy of the prosperity of Machakos youth and women. This has been witnessed as the House, under her direction, failed to deliberate on key items that were listed in today’s order paper: the Wikwatyo Fund (meant to empower youth and women) and the Annual Development Plan (ADP—a plan that comes from the people, helps the Executive budget according to the people’s needs, and outlines the development agenda for the whole year). The reckless decision by Speaker Anne Kiusya to adjourn the Assembly without passing these two crucial bills is intolerable and ill-advised. With this premature adjournment, the dreams of Machakos youth and women—who were waiting to be empowered through these bills—are now dying with no hope.

This act by the embattled Speaker Anne Kiusya is viewed as reckless. She seems to have no interest in the people at heart and appears to be working tirelessly to kill the dreams and aspirations of Machakos youth and women, possibly because of her interior motives. Speaker Anne Kiusya should know that the people of Machakos need service delivery, and if she meant well for them, she should have ensured all pending House business was addressed and passed before adjourning the House.

While pleading with the Assembly, Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti urged the Honorable MCAs to reconvene the House sitting and pass these bills, as this would save the women and youth of Machakos. She stated that her government works day and night to ensure the people receive the best service from their government and feel the impact of devolution.

Machakos residents are now waiting to see whether Speaker Anne Kiusya will set aside her ego and reconvene the House to pass these crucial bills, or whether she will deny them their right to be served as she enjoys huge Christmas allowances in her frequent abroad flights at the expense of taxpayers. Her decision to adjourn the House prematurely, without considering the impact of the pending workload in the Assembly’s order paper, exposes her as a leader who cares less for the people of Machakos. Now, the residents are watching closely to see whether their elected MCAs will push their Speaker to reconvene the sitting and pass these powerful bills meant to uplift them, or whether the MCAs will ignore them and proceed with abroad trips to pocket allowances as their people suffer.

Machakos Assembly Speaker Anne Kiusya is described as the enemy of the prosperity of Machakos youth and women.

[52

post-4886","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-governance
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833.jpg",1080,1074,false
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833-300x298.jpg",300,298,true
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833-768x764.jpg",640,637,true
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833-1024x1018.jpg",640,636,true],"1536x1536":["https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833.jpg",1080,1074,false],"2048x2048":["https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833.jpg",1080,1074,false
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833-1024x1018.jpg",1024,1018,true
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833-825x575.jpg",825,575,true
https://kambalandtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251209-WA0833-590x410.jpg",590,410,true
Governance
["GET
