Residents of Matungulu West Ward are now enjoying improved access to healthcare services following the expansion of Kithuani Dispensary, a major step in strengthening community healthcare in Machakos County. The upgraded facility is currently serving more than 3,500 residents, bringing essential medical services closer to the people and reducing the burden of travelling long distances in search of treatment.
Since becoming operational, Kithuani Dispensary has attended to more than 5,000 patients, demonstrating the growing demand for accessible and reliable healthcare services within the community. The expansion reflects the county government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that residents receive timely and quality medical attention at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the importance of accessible healthcare, Wavinya Ndeti reaffirmed that quality healthcare begins with bringing services closer to the people. The development of Kithuani Dispensary marks another milestone in Machakos County’s journey towards achieving Universal Health Coverage, while improving the well-being and quality of life for residents across the region
