In a disturbing escalation of political sabotage, Machakos County found itself at the heart of orchestrated anarchy today, as scenes of chaos erupted in the county assembly.
What initially appeared as internal wrangling among Members of County Assembly (MCAs) is now being laid bare as part of a broader and well-funded conspiracy.
Credible sources reveal that CS Alfred Mutua, along with Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, MPs Mwengi Mutuse and Kawaya, are masterminding behind these chaotic scenes after failed shambolic Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) raids in machakos county governments offices last week for political theatre to paralyze Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s administration. Their goal? To frustrate development, spread misinformation, and lay the groundwork for a dangerous political narrative.

According to insiders, the chaos seen in the Machakos assembly engineered by minority MCAs aligned with Alfred Mutua is not an isolated event, but a calculated move in a region-wide destabilization plot. This group, reportedly operating under instructions from senior national figures, is attempting to erode the authority of Wiper party leaders and create a false perception that the Ukambani region, under Kalonzo Musyoka’s influence, is descending into lawlessness. At the heart of this narrative is a smear campaign accusing the region’s three Wiper governors of misusing public funds to support Kalonzo’s 2027 presidential ambitions—allegations that remain unsubstantiated but are gaining traction through political propaganda.

This troubling trend of weaponized disorder is not new. Similar chaos has rocked Kitui County, where Speaker Kelvin Kinengo, allegedly acting under the same directives, has clashed repeatedly with the executive, resulting in violence so severe that even assembly staff have been physically harmed. A damning meeting between Speaker Kinengo and CS Mutua, captured on record, further exposed the depth of collusion aimed at undermining service delivery in Wiper-led counties. These attacks are seen by many as attempts to weaken the unity of the Kamba vote by projecting the region’s leadership as chaotic and dysfunctional—an agenda seen to benefit President Ruto’s political camp in the long run.
