Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe on Tuesday hosted Ambassador Lynette Mwende Ndile, the Deputy Head of Mission at Kenya’s Embassy in Beijing, for high-level talks at County Headquarters. The courtesy call doubled as a working session, zeroing in on how Kitui can tap bilateral goodwill and technical linkages to accelerate development.

At the heart of the discussion was a push to align national and county efforts around youth empowerment, modern infrastructure, and other priority sectors. The two leaders examined practical avenues for cooperation that would unlock training opportunities, catalyze investment, and streamline delivery across shared mandates.
A central pillar of the initiative is the expansion of Public–Private Partnerships—bringing together the National Government, County Government, and development partners to uplift Vocational Training Centers (VTCs). The plan envisions upgraded facilities, refreshed curricula, and improved access to high-quality instruction so young people can gain market-ready skills.

Governor Malombe called for a clear, time-bound roadmap to steer the transformation and affirmed his administration’s full backing. He applauded Ambassador Ndile for proactively engaging the county team, noting that structured collaboration with international partners can translate into faster project execution and better outcomes for Kitui residents.

Thanks Dr.Malombe for your efforts
