In a shocking but unsurprising show of political cowardice, CS Alfred Mutua who is Ruto’s Ukambani point man has stooped to despicable lows in his desperate bid to derail the leadership of Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti and cripple Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2027 presidential prospects. Former Machakos MP Victor Munyaka has laid bare the vile collusion between Mutua, MPs Caleb Mule, Patrick Makau, and the ever-controversial Mwengi Mutuse, exposing how they have conspired with EACC officers to fabricate corruption allegations and frustrate governance in Machakos. This is not governance it is political thuggery dressed in State power.
These leaders, driven by envy, irrelevance, and blind loyalty to Ruto, have launched a cowardly assault on Ukambani governors, hoping to paint them as corrupt in the eyes of Kenyans. Munyaka has courageously revealed that last week’s EACC raid on Machakos County’s finance offices was not a pursuit of justice but a shameless attempt to plant falsehoods. The goal was crystal clear: smear Wavinya Ndeti’s administration and maliciously link Kalonzo’s 2027 campaign to fabricated financial misconduct. Yet, even in their scheming, they failed miserably unable to produce a shred of evidence.
The rot runs deeper. After their attack on Machakos fizzled out, this cabal, led by Mutua, now has its eyes on Makueni and Kitui counties, with plans to unleash similar bogus claims against Governors Mutula Kilonzo Jr. and Julius Malombe. It has become evident that these plots are not about accountability but a well-funded vendetta against Kalonzo Musyoka, whose popularity sends shivers down Ruto’s camp. That Mutua and his Croonies who have stoop to such depths convening with political misfits to hatch schemes against fellow Kambas is the ultimate betrayal to the region
Even more laughable is the newly-drafted impeachment petition against Governor Wavinya, reportedly being pushed by Mutua’s proxies pretending to be petition from concerned residents of machakos. 
This empty political tantrum has rightly been dismissed by Machakos residents as baseless and ridiculous. The people have seen through the lies. They demand an end to this nonsense. Instead of sowing chaos, Mutua and his pack of saboteurs should focus on real leadership if they remember what that is. The message from Machakos is loud and clear: keep your dirty politics out we are busy working.
