Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has fired a blistering warning to her predecessor, Dr. Alfred Mutua, accusing him of shameless political sabotage and gross interference in the affairs of her government.

Speaking with the full force of authority during a church service in Mitaboni, Kathiani, Ndeti ripped into Mutua’s underhand dealings, warning him in no uncertain terms to “start a war only if he is sure he can win.” Her words carried the fury of a leader fed up with backdoor politics and determined to guard the sanctity of her administration from what she described as a calculated campaign of disruption and propaganda.

In a stinging critique, governor wavinya Ndeti exposed Mutua’s darkness dealings in deploying Machakos MCAs loyal to his crumbling Maendeleo Chap Chap party as political mercenaries tasked with sowing discord between her executive and the county assembly as well as using his moles in governor wavinya’s administration to fight and derail service delivery while serving in the same government.

She exposed what she termed as Mutua’s desperate attempts to cling onto power by remote control, refusing to let go of a county whose leadership he no longer holds. “When he was governor, I never lifted a finger against his administration,” she thundered. “Now he lurks in the shadows, engineering chaos and playing puppet master with county affairs. That ends today.”
Governor Ndeti didn’t stop at Mutua ,she sent a chilling warning to any county officials secretly colluding with the former governor to undermine her administration. “We know you,” she declared, “and your days of backstabbing this government are numbered ,you will be relived duties and go join Mutua .” Her administration, she insisted, will not be bullied into submission or distracted by petty political games. Instead, she vowed to focus on delivering services to the people of Machakos without compromise, without fear, and without yielding to those who failed to leave gracefully.

This bold and public dressing down of Alfred Mutua marks a turning point in Machakos politics. Ndeti has drawn a hard line, refusing to be a silent victim of sabotage disguised as opposition. With her house in order and her allies by her side, she has dared Mutua to continue his political mischief but made it clear that this time, he will face a fight he cannot win.
